Citywide Aerial Imaging for Urban Management

Recognizing the value of Spexi’s aerial imagery in wildfire response, the City of Kelowna launched a larger initiative to capture high-resolution images of the entire city. Over the course of a few days, the Spexi Network successfully mapped approximately 11,000 acres, delivering critical data to city administrators within 12 hours of capture. This imagery became a valuable supplementary data source, enhancing operations across multiple city departments, including Bylaw Services, Building & Permitting, Infrastructure Operations, Development Engineering, Utility Services, and Community Safety Services. The partnership between Kelowna and Spexi demonstrated how advanced aerial imaging can streamline city operations, improve efficiency, and reduce costs.
