Network Expansion Update - Q2 2024

Overview

We are excited to announce our plans to enable more pilots than ever to test our platform and experience FLY TO EARN. We have been working tirelessly over the winter to improve our pilot UI/UX, and build out early stage data delivery products for customers. We have done just that, and are now ready to expand further into our next phase 3 “Private Waitlist Beta”.

We will be unlocking roughly 30,000 Spexigons for rewards starting in early April, 2024. Thats right.. 30K Spexigons will be up for grabs in return for reputation points and cash rewards! This represents over 650,000 acres of area that will be imaged on the network 🤯. To our knowledge, this is the largest coordinated drone imagery capture program ever launched on planet 🌎.

We have also been working closely with our customers at every stage in our development, and will have more to announce about contracts and customer stories as we approach this demand led expansion milestone.

British Columbia - 24,000 Spexigons opening early April, 2024 (total area capture of cities/towns in BC 🚀)
~ 12,000 Spexigons in the Lower Mainland
~ 9,000 Spexigons in the Interior/Northern BC
~ 3,000 Spexigons on Vancouver Island

Texas & California ~ 6,000 Spexigons

Austin, Texas ~ 4,500 Spexigons opening early April, 2024

Rewards

‍

Once you have been onboarded to the platform, you can FLY TO EARN. There are two types of rewards in this phase of expansion:

1) Reputation Points (RPs) - Every Spexigon successfully captured and submitted to the network will earn you RPs. We intend to distribute SPEXI tokens at some point in the future, pending regulatory approval or clarity, and RPs are intended to play a role in this. We hope to reward network contributors in general proportion to their impact and contribution. RPs can also be used to reserve Spexigons you wish to fly.

2) Cash - Pilots that want to earn cash rewards for every Spexigon successfully captured and submitted to the network will need to complete further steps to be verified in our cash payment system for their country. Cash rewards will begin once a pilot has been fully verified in our cash payments system.

Cash reward amounts will be announced to accepted pilots from the waitlist and will vary by region
Cumulative pay out approximately every two weeks
The more you fly, the more you earn. FLY TO EARN.

It takes roughly 7 minutes to fly and capture each Spexigon, which covers approximately 22 acres. Imagery uploading times vary and depend on your local network speeds.

As we get closer to the April launch, we will update everyone in those places with more specific dates and onboarding steps. There are limited spots for pilots in this next phase.

As we are moving to the BETA testing phases of the network, we are still looking for critical user feedback as we prepare to take on even larger areas of Canada and the USA, and further our international expansion into other countries.

It is important to keep in mind that no one has ever attempted to capture this much aerial imagery using a decentralized network of drones before, so we are in uncharted waters. This is incredibly exciting, however it also means we need to walk before we run. We are committed to safe, responsible, and effective aerial operations, and every part of our network has been designed with those principals at heart.
